Strategic Business Partner and trusted expert advisor with 25+ years of global finance experience, including 18-year tenure at PepsiCo International as VP New Business Development AMEA ($6B revenues/$700M profits), Regional CFO APAC, and VP Corporate Strategy & Development. Served as board member for Indofood JV Indonesia, Kirin Tropicana JV Japan and Frito-Lay Orion JV Korea, and as advisor to PepsiCo’s Board members on Sermsuk Public Co. Thailand.
He has lived and worked in a numerous locations including Dublin, Geneva, London, New York and Hong Kong, before moving to Bangkok, where he has lived for the past 14 years with his family.
Acknowledged by his clients and business colleagues as commercially astute with an ability to provide insightful analysis, he is extremely proficient at distilling complex interlinked problems down to their core fundamentals. Notable Accomplishments:
- Spearheaded PepsiCo’s M&A activity in Asia. This included acquisitions across the Middle East, IPO’s in Japan and the Philippines, the sale of businesses in Australia, Korea, Vietnam and the buyout of various joint ventures across the region.
- Engineered the turnaround of PepsiCo’s Asia Pacific food business across the region and the subsequent integration of this business with the much larger beverage division.
- Drove the expansion of PepsiCo’s footprint through the formation of pioneering joint ventures with Almarai (Middle East), Calbee (Japan) and the Tata Group (India).
Since founding DBD Business Solutions in 2013, he has advised on numerous projects, including; a beverage acquisition in Pakistan, the sale of a mining concession in Laos, the establishment of a coconut water business in Thailand, the financing of a bio-mass project in the Philippines and a market entry evaluation study on behalf of a leading UK multinational.
